Description:

The iguana is an omnivorous lizard with a long green tail which shows little interest in players since it will for the most part just run away. However, smaller animals like rabbits really need to watch out since they are an easy prey for the iguana. It is possible to tame an iguana but it’s quite difficult since it’s will continuously try to get away.

How does it work?

The Iguana is a long-tailed lizard which lives in most biomes (in Minecraft) since it replaces the creeper. They are naturally afraid of players and will always try to run away, even if you attempt to tame one. The only time that it can become an immediate threat is if you try to hurt it as it will defend itself at any cost.

It’s an omnivorous lizard and this means that it will hunt rabbits and other small animals for food.

Taming an iguana is nearly impossible unless you trap it. It’s always afraid of you, even if you try to tempt it with some food. You can tame it with some melon.

  • iOS / Android: Hold a melon, long press on the iguana and press Tame
  • Windows 10: Hold a melon and right-click on the iguana to tame it

A tamed iguana will follow you around. You can feed it with any of the following foods to heal it: watermelons, potatoes, carrots, apples.

If you’re attacked by a hostile mob then the tamed iguana will come to your saving and help you out.
