bum_Crops! - Minecraft PE Addons

Are you tired of the same old boring crops in Minecraft? Looking for something new, but don’t want to use an addon that fakes it with entities? Look no further!

Bumble Crops! introduces 8 new crops to your Minecraft world that can be accessed both in survival and creative modes! These crops are actual blocks and behave identically to the vanilla crops, being planted with seeds and then gradually growing over time until ready to harvest! Just like vanilla crops, you can also use bone meal to speed the process up if you’re impatient!

There are very few addons that do this for Bedrock Edition yet, and we’re happy to share this with everyone! This addon was developed for the Bumblecraft SMP Server, an ambitious, modded bedrock server that aims to provide an immersive survival experience unlike anything else on currently on Bedrock. Anyways..

So what crops are currently included?

:: RED CABBAGE!
– low healing.
– great food.
– planted on: farmland.

:: ASPARAGUS!
– great food.
– low healing.
– planted on:  sand.

:: HOPS!
– poor healing.
– poor food.
– planted on: farmland.
—- NOTE: Planning on adding brewing/stilling in the future.. stay tuned..!

:: PEPPERS!
– decent food.
– poor healing.
– planted on: farmland.
—- NOTE: This crop will give speed 1 to the consumer for ~5 seconds, when eaten.

:: PINEAPPLES!
– excellent food.
– excellent healing.
– planted on: farmland, podzol.

:: TOMATOS!
– inedible (will be an ingredient for crafted foods later)
– can be thrown like a snowball (…because why not? c:   )
– planted on: farmland, podzol.

:: TURNIP!
– turnip is proud and strong like ox. eat turnip and become strong, comrade!
– excellent food.
– decent healing.
– planted on: farmland.

:: STRAWBERRIES!
– mild healing.
– decent food.
– planted on: farmland, podzol.
—- NOTE: heals poison when consumed!

—- NOTE: strawberries can be crafted into Strawberry Jam using the above recipe. (Crafting Table)
—- Strawberry Jam heals poison AND gives the consumer restoration 1 for 5 seconds. (maybe a little op? can nerf. let me know what you think!)

… ALSO THERE’S THINGS THAT AREN’T CROPS!

:: COOKED CARROTS!
– excellent healing.
– decent food.

:: AIMLESS HORTICULTURISTS!
– wander aimlessly around the wilderness, collecting and trafficking rare and exotic crops!
– will sell you exotic seeds in exchange for emeralds.
– will also buy any exotic crops you’ve grown for emeralds… stonks!
– spawns anywhere animals can, but only on grass blocks!

.… and that’s about everything at the moment!

I’ll absolutely update this soon with more crops and some tweaks to the existing ones (nothing substantial). Eventually we plan to have a few new crafting mechanics (such as stilling for ale!) and a few foods that can be crafted with the crops added. But for now, this works for an initial build!
