The spawn is next to a tree. The thing you want to do is to fly over that tree as well as the next one behind the first one. Once you are past the first tree by about 10 blocks you should turn around and see a tree which is in the ground.

At the third grass block from right you should dig straight down at the grass block.

After a while of digging you should fall straight into the combined dungeon and mineshaft.
