Description:
This addon adds a new mob called the Human. You can trade with them, kill them, leash them and more. The also defend themselves from other hostile mobs that happen to be around them. They are a nice little addition to the game.
Introducing the Human Addon! What does it do? It adds Humans (also known as Steve) into the game as a mob. Of course there’s other humans surviving in your world, you just haven’t come across them yet, until now.
Some of you may know that humans used to be in a very very early version of the game. I wanted to add them back, while keeping them at least a bit primitive like they once were.

UPDATE v1.4.1 RELEASED!
A small update bring some big changes this time around! All humans now have a chance to spawn with different skins. The unprofessed human, archer, guard and knight each have the eight classic skins from the Xbox 360 edition. All humans with professions now have four different variants, bringing the skin total to over 50!
These skins are also hardcoded into the humans, which means that their skins are persistent and won’t change if you happen to leave the world or reload the chunk. Scroll down and check the pictures, most of them have been updated to showcase the new skins.
—
SPAWNING
The Human can be found naturally spawning pretty much anywhere on the surface of the world. They are part of the “animal spawning” so in places such as tundras and deserts, you will probably find them more commonly. They can spawn in herds of up to five.
They also spawn with a tool about 75% of the time, which also can be enchanted.
They can also spawn in eight different skins, all being from the classic default skin pack from the console editions of the game.
—
STRUCTURES
Humans can sometimes be found inhabiting structures. So far, they can be found in six houses, which are full of good (bad) loot as well as a human or two you can talk with. HEre are the structures.
—
OAK HOUSE
Two different oak houses can spawn, usually found in plains and forests.
—
SPRUCE HOUSE
These two spruce houses can spawn in any cold biome (expect oceans, rivers, etc) as well as in tiaga biomes.
—
DESERT HOUSE
The two desert houses can spawn in… you guessed it, the desert biomes. (Sorry, left my hand in both pictures)
—
UPGRADES
You are now able to improve the skills of these primitive humans. by giving them a certain item, you will be able to change their combat skill into three different types. All these upgrades come in the eight classic skins as well.
—
ARCHER
The first on the list is the archer. Give him a bow and he’ll be ready for anything. This will give him full leather armor and a bow. He is capable of shooting accurately with a bow up to 30 blocks away!
—
GUARD
Next up is the guard. Give him an iron chestplate and he’ll be unstoppable! Guards cannot be knocked back and are very strong! As a drawback, they can’t sprint very fast.
—
KNIGHT
This is the knight. Give him an iron sword for an overall great performance of both speed and strength. He is faster than both the Guard and the Archer.
—
TRADING
Humans with professions will now be able to trade with you, their currency is Sapphires. As of now, the only way you can get Sapphires is through trading, so sell some stuff to them so you can buy from them too.
Generally with each professed human, they have 4-5 trades, they usually have 2-3 trades where they offer basic items, 1-2 ways for you to trade them items for sapphires, and 1 trade offering a tool or other special item.
They will trade their profession trades during the day and their generic trades during the night. This means their trades will always be refreshing and their old trades will be replaced with new ones.
—
PROFESSIONS
Professions function the same way as upgrades. Instead of employing a strong defensive type of human, you may prefer to hire someone to strengthen your economy and broaden your choices of what you have access to. You can read how to get these professions below.
Each profession also comes in four different skins to mix things up a bit.
Here are the job clusters added so far-
RESOURCES– Lumberjack, Digger, Miner
FARMING– Farmer, Fisherman, Shepherd
SMITHING– Armorsmith, Toolsmith, Weaponsmith
MAGICAL– Enchanter, Librarian, Priest
—
LUMBERJACK
If you give a human an iron axe, he will become a Lumberjack, he is capable of lot of damage and will trade you things like wood, saplings and axes
—
DIGGER
If you give a human an iron shovel, he will become a Digger. He trades all sorts of random blocks such as dirt, grass, sand, gravel and all your pathway type stuff,
—
MINER
Giving a human an iron pickaxe will make him a Miner. He wears a golden helmet. He will trade all sorts of ores and minerals as well as pickaxes, torches and buckets.
—
FARMER
If a human is given an iron hoe, he becomes a farmer. He will trade crops and different types of food.
—
FISHERMAN
Giving a human a fishing rod will make him become a fisherman. He will give and take fish off your hands and sell you fishing rods.
—
SHEPHERD
Giving a human some shears will make him a shepherd. He will sell you all sorts of colors of wool as well as sell you colored banners and beds
—
ARMORSMITH
Giving a human a golden shovel will make him an armorsmith. Each skin sports the beige tunic. He can sell you many different armors, horse armors and shields.
—
TOOLSMITH
If a human is given a golden pickaxe, he will become a toolsmith. Each skin has a brown tunic. He offers several different tools for trade.
—
WEAPONSMITH
If a human is given a golden axe, he will be a weaponsmith. Each one sports a red tunic. He offers all sorts of wapons for trade as well as arrows.
—
ENCHANTER
Giving the human an Enchanting Table will turn him into an enchanter. He can enchant almost any tool.
—
LIBRARIAN
Giving a human a book will turn him into a librarian. He trades paper for sapphires, sells enchanted books and other library needs.
—
PRIEST
Giving a human a Totem of Undying will convert him into a priest. Sell him all your useless piles of bones and flesh, as well as purchase “magical” items.
—
COMBAT
They will also attack hostile mobs that come close enough to their 16-block radius. They are about as fast as a player when they run, so they can get the job done. They are also capable of chasing their target for up to 80 blocks, which makes them very hard to escape.
Be careful when engaging combat with them. Anyone who attacks the Human, the Human will attack. For example, here’s quite a few of them chasing me (yes, they’re really fast)
—
LOOT
However, if you do manage to kill them, they can drop quite a few goodies for you to take. It’s mostly just the average survival items, but its worth doing if you desperately need some blocks or food.
Just to run a little test, I killed twenty humans without the looting enchantment and this is what I got. I gotta say, it’s mostly balanced, given their rarity, but let me know what you think in the comments below.
—
BEFRIENDING (TAMING)
Humans can now be tamed. They must either have an UPGRADE or a PROFESSION. If you give them a diamond, they will become your friend. They will no longer attack you if you attack them.
They will not follow you, but if someone nearby tries to hurt you, they will be first to swing in and defend you. I will add different professions that will follow you more like other tamed mobs in the game, but for now, I’m keeping things basic.
—
