Description:

THIS IS A TEXTURE PACK, NOT AN ADDON. (added just in case someone didn’t read what this was)

What’s up Minecrafters! Are you tired of seeing redstone? Are you a Ging Ging fan? Do you watch Nathan Doan’s videos? Are you tired of seeing your chest full of an ore that doesn’t look like one? If “yes” is the answer to any of the questions, then this addon is for you! (Some may find this texture pack offensive, to that I apologize, this pack is for jokes)

What this pack does:

This is a very small resource pack that simply replaces the redstone, redstone ore, and the redstone block in Minecraft into ruby, ruby ore, and ruby block. That means that they are all still functional as redstone and the ore still spawns where redstone would. Also, all crafting recipes with redstone get replaced by ruby. Also, the redstone torch, comparator, repeater, and lamp are named to ruby torch, comparator, repeater, and lamp. This is what sets this resource pack apart from the rest, this resource pack focuses on redstone instead of the overdone emerald and diamond. In addition to all of this, emerald now has a friend in terms of looks!

Inspiration:

The textures of the pack are from here, this is a Java pack made by jon327 (yes I did get his permission). This pack is a reference to a Ging Ging video where he calls redstone “ruby”. Rubies were originally planned to be added as part of Minecraft Java Edition 1.3 as a currency for trading with villagers, but were abandoned at the last minute in favor of emeralds due to Dinnerbone being red-green colorblind and therefore having a hard time spotting the difference between Redstone Ore and Ruby Ore. Rubies are a form of currency in Minecraft Earth. MCE Rubies can be obtained by completing challenges and adventures in addition to opening tappables. The textures of this pack are based more on the unused Java textures. To all people with red-green colorblindness, I’m sorry that if you this texture pack, you can’t easily differentiate between ruby ore/block and emerald ore/block. Note: This texture pack doesn’t alter a single quality to emeralds.

(Above) Proof that I am allowed to upload this.

(Above) This is some random closed ‘in series’ circuit I made to prove that rubies are still functional as rubies. Here you can see the ruby block emitting power to a repeater which still functions as normal. You can also see that the ‘not switch’ is normal. You can also see that the pistons are acting as normal as well. As well as the chicken and cow in the background. And the map. And the grass. And the sky. And the-

(Above) A simple closed ‘in series’ ruby circuit I made to prove the functionality of rubies. Here you can also see the ruby block emitting power to a repeater which still functions as normal. Also, you can see that the retextured redstone is renamed “Ruby”. Also, the retextured redstone block is renamed ruby block, while the not shown retextured redstone ore is renamed ruby ore. And yes, the ore still glows.

(Below) Showing one of the name changes I made proving that some items only have name changes. The items that only have name changes are the ruby torch, repeater, comparator, and lamp. If I missed any, leave them down below in the comments. Feel free to use this addon for personal and use within videos without crediting me! (Though do credit the original creator) You can get this addon without adverts and go straight to MediaFire! Do not reupload this texture pack to other websites. Fun facts about rubies:

•A ruby is a rose-pink to a blood-red colored gemstone.

•A ruby’s’ streak is white, but since it’s Minecraft, in the pack, the dust is still red.

•Historically, rubies have also been mined in Thailand, Cambodia (my country), as well as in Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Hindustan, Namibia, Japan, and the United Kingdom; after the Second World War, ruby deposits were found in Madagascar, Nepal, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Tanganyika, and Vietnam.
