Description:
Domed is a Minecraft Survival map created by Trauxe in which you are placed in a small, circular world which is housed right under a glass* dome. This small world has modified ore spawns, making all ores slightly more common, due to the finite size of the map as it is currently.
*as of v0.2, the glass dome is no longer transparent due to how Minecraft handles custom blocks currently.
Domed is a Minecraft Survival map created by Trauxe in which you are placed in a small, circular world which is housed right under a glass dome. This small world has modified ore spawns, making all ores slightly more common, due to the finite size of the map as it is currently. The map is a basic Minecraft Survival map; but encased in the large glass dome. Currently it only has the very basic survival aspects, like mining and crafting and building, however, I intend to implement more features such as a stronghold, more biomes, and other such things you would find in vanilla survival world. The Current Plans section has a bigger list of things I intent to implement.
Showcase:
Current Features:
Increased ore spawns:
-Coal: 10% (Default: 10%)
-Iron: 10% (Default: 6%)
-Lapis Lazuli: 7% (Default: 1%)
-Gold: 6% (Default: 1%)
-Diamond: 4% (Default 1%)
-Emerald: 4% (Default 1%)
-Quartz: 1% (Default in Overworld: 0%)
Structures:
-Underground Dungeon with mob spawner.
-The dome itself cannot be broken, nor can the base it is on.
Current Plans:
-Add Achievement/Quest system.
-Add Stronghold for the End.
-Add Nether Shaped as Overworld.
-Add More Islands with different biomes/themes (Tied into quest system).
-Clean up the outside of the dome a bit more.
Q/A:
Q: “What tools did you use to make this?”
A: So far I have used WorldPainter 2.7.16 (To generate the terrain)
Q: “How did you make the glass dome?”
A: I used FAWE 6.1.1
Q: “Do you have plans to add anything else?”
A: Yes, Right above this paragraph should be a list of things I plan to implement
Current Notes:
-The Glass dome is no longer transparent because transparent blocks in custom addons aren’t supported.
-This has only been tested on Windows 10 edition and Xbox One, as I don’t have Minecraft on android installed and I do not own any apple products.
-The base of the dome that is it rested on may have a few holes in it because I had placed all of those blocks by hand.
Misc.
Please leave a comment on any and all ratings, as it lets me know the opinions of others and how I can improve the map, and what else I can implement.
Thanks to ExonProcess for helping me test and build some of this.
