Axolots were added in the new snapshot of Caves and Cliffs Update, and you can have them in your Minecraft world with this new add-on.

It was done the best possible so that the animations and behaviors correspond to what was shown in the new snapshot!

BEHAVIORS AND ANIMATIONS:

Axolotls live preferentially in the water! If they stay more than 5 minutes out of the water they will dry and die! They attack drowned zombies, fish, squids and guardians!

The axolotl sounds were also ported from java edition to be played here!

They have animation of swimming, walking, breathing and faking death, identical or almost identical to what we have in java edition!

You can pull them with rope! And you can also use tropical fish to breed them! Axolotl babies are cute, small and big-headed!

Use a bucket of water to collect them! You can drop them again later!

If they are hurt, they will fake death for a few seconds, until they regenerate their life again!

An important detail: If they are in the water they will sink as if they were really dead!

As it is a concept, and still does not have the lush caves implemented in the game, the axolotls will spawn in jungle lakes!

They will always look for water nearby! They don’t like to stay on land too much!

If you are carrying a tropical fish without your hands, they will start swimming with you, but they can escape with fish along the way, always keep an eye out!
